Brand identity and branding
A visual identity that gives your business character and consistency: logo, colours, typefaces, graphic elements and the rules for using them.
Brand identity
A brand identity is how a business looks and feels at every point of contact: the website, the packaging, the office, the advertising. When it is consistent, people recognise the brand and trust it.
I work with new brands and with rebrands for businesses that have outgrown their look. First I get to know the business and define what the design has to solve, then I propose a visual direction and design the whole system.
Over 15 years I have designed identities and campaigns for brands in sports, tech, events and other fields, including the Latvian Olympic Committee.

Work
All workHow I work
Understand the business
We start with a conversation about the company, the audience and the goals.
Define the real problem
We pin down what the design actually has to solve.
Concept and direction
I propose an idea and a visual direction that we agree on before production.
Design and delivery
I design the work and hand over files that are easy to use.
Questions
What is a brand identity?
All the visual elements a brand is recognised by, and the rules for using them: logo, colours, typefaces, graphic elements, photo style. It keeps the brand looking the same everywhere.
Do you also do rebrands?
Yes. In a rebrand we first decide what is worth keeping, then design an identity that fits the business as it is now.
How does a brand identity project run?
In four steps: I get to know the business, define the real problem, propose a concept and direction, then design the work and hand over the files and the brand book.
